CHF 45.00 / EUR 41.80As part of his foundation for the preservation of film heritage, the filmmaker Martin Scorsese founded the «World Cinema Project» in association with a number of well-known filmmakers around the world. Many of them have been in the trigon-film collection for thirty years. A natural partnership resulted. Several films from Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Project have already released as single titles in the trigon-film edition. Now we are combining three films twice in two boxes with an accompanying book.
«World Cinema 2» presents the Moroccan film Alyam, Alyam by Ahmed El Maanouni, the Indonesian classic After the Curfew by Usmar Ismail and Jean-Pierre Dokongué-Pipa's unforgettable Muna Moto from Cameroon. All films have been carefully restored by Immagine Ritrovato in Bologna.
Alyam, Alyam by Ahmed El Maanouni, Morocco 1978
Set in a small village in the Moroccan countryside, Alyam, Alyam tells a story culled from the lived reality of young men almost forty years ago while still remaining very much of the present day.
After the Curfew by Ismar Ismail, Indonesia 1954
A little-known, passionate tale of a revolutionary hero returning to civilian life after the liberation from Dutch colonial rule that took top honours at Indonesia’s Citra Film Awards, 1955.
Muna Moto by Pierre Dikongué-Pipa, Cameroon 1975
