«I wanted to make this film because in Africa, death and funeral traditions play a significant role in our culture. I felt that this culture must be preserved in a visual form so that it will e seen by others before it dies. All over Africa, funeral traditions are slowly dying. There is an increasing social restrain on family ties. Families are no longer held together as it was before. Thus there is a need to document the rich funeral culture for our next generations to learn.» (King Ampaw)
