At her weedding reception, Keren breaks a leg. Bang goes the Caribbean honeymoon... A strange little girl comes out of the sea. She follows Batya like a shadow, till she takes her in, and Batya's life changes forever. Joy is a maid, in exile from her homeland. She works for a truculent old lady whom she will reconcile with her daughter. Like so many messages in a bottle, the film is verging on the absurd. This is a portrait of a messy world in which all the characters scrape by as best they can, looking for love, for affection, for something to remember or to forget... Such is life in Tel-Aviv.
