A film by Bruno Moll
Switzerland 2005
It is possible to live almost without rememberin, but it is completely impossible to live without forgetting.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Bruno Moll examines the phenomena of human memory: an incomprehensible flow of individual and collective references that determine our current and future life. Moll questions what memory is made of and what meaning these memories have for our life. What can we learn from our memories? What meaning does forgetting have? The film tries to answer these mysteries and many more, but at its centre are people and their physical and psychic experiences and memories. The film illustrates how the minutiae of different narratives interwoven with each other create a dialogue with one’s own history.
